The Light. Global User Study on Perceived Lighting Quality in Offices
„The most important thing is light. Light is life“
Richard Meier, architect

During the course of day-to-day work in offices, we encounter a huge variety of different visual stimuli. In offices, the right lighting is crucial. Light affects almost all vital processes in the human body and also has an impact on people's performance, health, safety and sense of well-being.

Objective and content
The purpose of this global study is to allow users to assess the perceived quality of office lighting. User preferences are surveyed in 5 sets of questions based on particular working situations, individual needs and job profiles. The following questions are of particular interest:

  • What distinguishes office lighting quality as actually perceived by an employee?
  • What factors affect this assessment in each individual case?
  • What progress has been achieved by attempts to create good visual and lighting conditions in our offices?

Your assessment will make a significant contribution towards improved office lighting quality.

We would appreciate it if you could take roughly 10 minutes of your time to answer the following questions and assess various room and lighting situations.

It goes without saying that your details will be recorded anonymously and treated as confidential.

Your cooperation in support of a good cause
As a thank you for your trouble, we will be supporting the “Light for the World” organisation by donating € 3 for every completed questionnaire.
